Commemoration of the 130th Anniversary of Comrade Zhu De's Birth Held in Yilong County
On November 25, 2016, a forum commemorating the 130th anniversary of Comrade Zhu De's birth and a ceremony of presenting flower baskets to Comrade Zhu De's statue were held in Yilong County, Nanchong City, to solemnly mark the 130th anniversary of his birth. These events aimed to recall his great achievements, cherish the memory of his magnificent life, learn from his precious spirits, and encourage Party organizations at all levels and the majority of Party members and cadres across the province to unite more closely around the Party Central Committee with Comrade Xi Jinping at its core, work diligently, overcome difficulties, and make unremitting efforts to secure a decisive victory in building a moderately prosperous society in all respects and develop a strong economic province.
Wang Dongming, Secretary of the CPC Sichuan Provincial Committee, Zhao Zongqi, Commander of the Western Theater Command, Zhan Houshun, Deputy Commander of the Western Theater Command and concurrently Commander of the Theater Air Force, Zhou Xiaozhou, Director of the Chengdu Military Region Demobilization Office, representatives of Comrade Zhu De's relatives, and representatives from all walks of life attended the commemorative events. Yin Li, Deputy Secretary of the CPC Sichuan Provincial Committee and Governor of the province, and Liu Guozhong, Deputy Secretary of the CPC Sichuan Provincial Committee, presided over the forum and the flower basket - presenting ceremony respectively.
